SQUIRE

All the locks below were made to look like the padlocks made by Squire lock co. of England.  They all use a barrel style of key.  In England they are called pipe keys.

These fantasy locks, (suppose to look like), were made in the far East.  As you can see in the next to last picture the "Made in Taiwan" sticker is still on the back of a padlock.  The last 3 figural locks are all from Taiwan.

You will find that there are 6 different stampings on the backs of these locks. All but the two smaller locks will have either ADMIRALTY or FEDERAL stamped under the key number on the front of the locks.

The padlocks with the word PRISON and U.S. GENERAL are smaller in size, they are only 2 inches wide by 3 inches tall, compares to all the others at 2 3/4 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches tall.

It is not known what this lock is supposed to be a copy of. It is different in that is uses a bit style of key, skeleton key.

The MADE IN TAIWAN paper sticker is still attacked to the back of this lock.

This is what a real Squire padlock likes like.
